1. What do you do outside of the gym? Career, hobbies, etc.!
I’m an occupational therapist and have recently been promoted as the Director of Psychosocial Rehab. My hobbies are hiking with my dog Finn, going to country concerts, traveling (literally always on the road), and enjoying good food and beer!
2. How long have you been training with us?
I’ve been with River City Fitness for 6 months and absolutely love everything about it! Big shout out to Morgan Dodson for dragging me to the friends/family week back in like January because it has been the best decision since I moved here!!
3. What's been your biggest accomplishment since you began training with us?
Hmm my biggest accomplishment is a tough one because it feels like every day is a new accomplishment and I’m still surprising myself daily! But I’d have to say back squat at 195 and deadlift at 215 are my 2 best accomplishments so far! Trying to get that upper body stronger next!
4. What's your favorite thing about being a member here?
I love everything about this gym! Josh has a way of pulling you in and making you feel like you belong from day 1! The members are amazing and provide a much needed sense of community. All of the coaches are very knowledgeable and always there for help/support. I only come for the classes because I need the motivation of others and it’s perfect! I also love how many options of class times there are!
5. What would you say to someone who is considering training with us?
What I’d say to a person considering joining is this: if my mom can do it, anyone can do it! She came to one class and modified everything but did a 1600m row and beat me before I could finish my 1 mile run! And she was bragging about it to everyone!! It really is a place for everyone and anyone! Also, first class is free so you literally have nothing to lose!!!
