1. What do you do outside of the gym? Career, hobbies, etc.! I am a nurse working in the substance abuse field. When I am not working or at the gym, I love hanging out with friends enjoying a beer, chilling at home with my cat, Nugget, or being out in nature with my camera. 2. How long have you been training with us? I joined the gym in March of this year when I moved here. Nic bugged me for weeks to join. I finally decided to give it a try when I got tired of him nagging me. Lol!! It has been the best thing I have done for myself in years. 3. What's been your biggest accomplishment since you began training with us? I would have to say my biggest accomplishment since I started training is my confidence and attitude. I had gone through some major, negative life events prior to moving to Danville. My confidence and self worth were in the gutter. I didn't believe "I could". A very wise coach told me "I can't never could" Thank you, Josh. I now live by that and can face the really challenging WODS, as well as life, with a more positive "can do" attitude. When I am struggling with life I think about all the gains I have made in the gym and that brings renewed confidence. I am still a work in progress, but am learning to celebrate the small gains every day. 4. What's your favorite thing about being a member here? Everyone in the gym, from the coaches to my fellow members, are incredibly supportive and uplifting. Every one of you who I have had the pleasure to work out with have been a huge inspiration to me. I am so happy to have the opportunity to be part of such a great community. 5. What would you say to someone who is considering training with us? Just do it! I am a middle aged woman with MS as well as being a cancer survivor. If I can do it so can you. It won't be easy, it's not supposed to be. Every WOD can be scaled to your level so no excuses! You won't regret it.
