January Member of the Month: Tripp Reynolds

1. What do you do outside of the gym? Career, hobbies, etc.!

I have been a Diesel mechanic for 10 years now, and I am a serial hobbyist… My hobby is collecting hobbies. The only constant obsession is Toyota 4x4s and Motorcycles. But here lately I’ve been fly fishing and teaching myself how to play guitar. 


2. How long have you been training with us?

I started in June of 2023.


3. What's been your biggest accomplishment since you began training with us?

Besides the obvious losing weight and getting healthier/stronger/fitter, I would say the improvement in my form in all movements but especially the Olympic lifts. 


4. What's your favorite thing about being a member here? 

The community is so amazing and I’ve met my best friends here but the coaching is why we all come back. The knowledge base in the coaching staff is next level. From child to elderly, beginner to experienced athletes, the coaches always have the right answer or will get you the right answer. 


5. What would you say to someone who is considering training with us?

There is nothing I can say to put the feelings into words. Old 97 is the true “judgement free zone” and truly is for everyone. There is no “I need to lose weight or I need to get in shape” before coming, Old 97 will meet you exactly where you are and get you exactly where you want to be. This place has changed every aspect of my life for the better! I’ve yet to meet anyone in the gym that hasn’t said “I wish I would’ve have started sooner!”
